Senior Machine Learning Engineer
Make our agents read plans and specifications reliably, and prove it.
The role
You own how well our agents read construction documents: plans, models, specifications, and offers. You choose the methods, build the evaluations that show whether they work, and take them into production.
What you will do
- Develop methods that extract elements, quantities, and specifications from plans, IFC models, and documents.
- Build evaluation sets and metrics with our construction experts, and make every model change measurable against them.
- Classify positions by cost code and calibrate confidence, so that the agents know when to ask a person.
- Learn prices from awarded contracts and use them as evidence in new estimates.
- Set the technical direction for machine learning with our engineering team.
What we look for
- Several years of machine learning systems in production, ideally on documents, drawings, or images, with results you can show in numbers.
- Deep experience in computer vision or document understanding, and with current language and vision-language models.
- You build the evaluation before you trust a result, and you know when a fine-tuned model beats a frontier model with tools, and when it does not.
- Strong software engineering: others read, test, and maintain your code.
- Fluent English.
Also valuable
- Publications or open-source work in document AI, computer vision, or evaluation that others use.
- Experience with CAD, BIM, or construction data.
- German or French.
